Bistrot Chez Remy-Walt Disney Studios Park, Disneyland Paris

When we visited Disneyland Paris in June 2022, we wanted to make the most of our trip by booking some of the sit-down dining options within the parks. As a huge fan of the movie Ratatouille, we decided that Bistrot Chez Remy was a must!!

Located in the Walt Disney Studios Park right beside the Ratatouille Ride, Bistrot Chez Remy is a table service restaurant serving French cuisine. Reservations are recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance. We logged on to the Disneyland Paris app and made our reservations exactly 60 days ahead of time to ensure we would get a seat.

In the lobby there is some movie memorabilia.

The inside of the restaurant makes you feel like you have shrunk down to the size of a rat and entered their world! As you walk from the lobby to the dining room, the tiles start to change size and the transformation takes place.

You see Christmas lights as lighting fixtures, drink umbrellas as table umbrellas, champagne corks as seats, etc.

As you are wrapping up the ride, you can actually see part of the restaurant and some of the patrons dining inside!!

We checked in for our reservation about 15 minutes early and were seated almost immediately. It was at around 4:15pm so there were not a lot of other patrons at that time. After we were seated, I took some time to explore our surroundings and take some photos of the adorable decor!

Dinner is a preset menu, and you can choose from two different options:

Rémy Menu € 40 Starter and Main Course

Émile Menu € 55 Starter, Main Course and Dessert Wine included € 75

Little Chef Menu € 30 For children aged from 3 to 11 Starter, Main Course, Dessert and Drink

We went with Emile menu, and I started with the Seasonal Soup with The Laughing Cow® and Mixed Herbs. The seasonal soup at the time was broccoli. It was runny and cold. I ate the cheese out of it.

Matt went with the Mixed Greens, Cantal, Tomato Confit, Poached Egg, Crunchy Radishes and Vegetable Vinaigrette. His was significantly better than mine.

For our main we both went with the Grilled Steak, Ratatouille and French Fries Choice of sauce: Chef, Meaux Mustard and Tarragon, Brie or Béarnaise. We went with the Chef sauce based on our waiter’s suggestion. The steak was just ok, and it was kind of a miss that the ratatouille was not done the same way that it was in the movie.

For dessert Matt went with the Chocolate Cake with a Choc-Milk Caramel Centre, and Custard. Was kind of like a lava cake with custard. Again, just ok and would have been better if the cake was warmer.

I went with the Bistrot Delight- Flaky Pastry, Crispy Vanilla Cream Puffs, Whipped Cream and Red Berries. It was light and not super sweet, but the pastry was a little stale.

While the ambience was fun and made you feel like you were in the movie, that is about where the dazzle ended for us. If Anton Ego was reviewing the food, he would not have had anything nice to say. There are plenty of sit down and quick service restaurants to choose from at Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studio Parks, so unless this is an absolute must for you, I say enjoy the ride, but skip the meal.
