Disney’s Character Warehouse-Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets

Disney and discounts are not things that typically go together, but in the wild bargain bonanzas that are the outlet malls, you can find three Character Warehouses in Orlando, FL. Inside these majestic caves of wonder you can find some excellent deals and score some legitimate Disney merchandise at a fraction of the cost! Buckle up because it is worth the drive and the frenzy inside!! Read on as I share my experience of one of the three Character Warehouses.

The Location

Screenshot taken from Google.

We were leaving the park and headed back home to NC, so we stopped at the closest one headed in the direction towards home which ended up being at the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. It was about 9.9 miles (or a 17 minute drive) from Magic Kingdom.

The official address is 8200 Vineland Ave #1252, Orlando, FL 32821.

We parked in between the Banana Republic and the Adidas and walked straight in between the two stores (one of the main outdoor entrances into the outlets). We went straight through the food court and then just outside the food court and immediately to the right, we reached our destination! You can reference my photo above for help with parking and getting to the store.

There is an entrance right as you walk up the way I just described, and another entrance if you keep walking around the building. In reading past Google reviews, they used to have lines to get into the building and virtual queues, but we went at about 6:00pm on a Thursday evening and walked right in.

Second entrance.

Google also says that people typically spend about 15 minutes in the store (we spent about 30 but I could have spent way more), and it is obviously busiest on Saturdays (2:00 is the peak of their traffic).

The Merchandise

I picked this denim jacket up for $24.99!!

I had really low expectations for the actual merchandise and for the state of the store (I thought it would look like a hurricane had been through it) but I have to say that I was really pleasantly surprised! They had such a variety of things and it was overall pretty well organized! They had merchandise from the 50th anniversary, the 100 years of celebration, characters, parks, even National Geographic merchandise.

They get shipments every day except Sunday so if you see something you want get it because they move through it faster than Lightning McQueen!

Pets

Right when we walked in I saw a fixture full of goodies for fur babies!! As a Dog mom myself, I was absolutely thrilled!! They had tons of clothing, bowls, a few toys (one we had previously bought for Dodger), collars & leashes, and even Halloween costumes!

I picked up this adorable little Coco Halloween harness for Dodger Bear! Originally $39.99 and I paid $14.99!!

Holiday

They had holiday merchandise available and I was so surprised!! Christmas items as well as Halloween!!!

Park Gear

They had Loungeflys and tons of stuff to get you Disney decked out for your park day!! Other bags, ears, pins, hair bows, hats, so many cool finds and the deals were crazy good!!!

Home

They had all kinds of stuff for the house like dishes, cups, collectibles, figurines, gadgets and gizmos aplenty!

Toys

For the kiddos they had toys and plushies galore!! All kinds of characters (but I will say they were from the more obscure movies or they were the things they they probably had a lot of that they just couldn’t sell). I didn’t see anything princess.

Apparel

The bulk of what they had was apparel. Out of the apparel I would say a third of it was for kids and I saw very very little that would work for infants or kids under a toddler age. Most of it was pretty well organized and on hangers that had size rings. Mens and women’s was separated for the most part. Again, I didn’t really see anything with mainstream characters like princesses and a lot of the things I saw were extreme sizes. I wanted an orange tank top and they only had sizes XL-2X, and there was another pink t-shirt I liked that they only had in 1X-2X. They had some amazing Lily Pulitzer leggings that were originally $128 on sale for $79 but only had XS.

You kind of had to dig through each rack when it came to the apparel. Lots and lots of sweatpants and shirts. Matt did not find anything but I got a denim jacket, a t-shirt, and a cute little cotton dress.

This sweet little T-shirt came home with me!! Originally $39.99 paid $19.99!

There were no fitting rooms available and it was absolutely packed inside the shop and you had to wiggle your way through to see everything. I wanted to try my items on, so I snuck over to a corner and put my items on over top of what I was wearing so I could make sure they fit me. (They do have a 30 day return policy but we were leaving to come home.)

They also don’t offer baskets or anything (that I saw anywhere) so people were roaming around with huge hauls of treasures in their arms, making it even more challenging for everyone to get around.

The Fancy Stuff

Behind the checkout line, and in a glass case beside it, they had some really exciting finds!!! I’m talking Dooney & Bourke bags, Baublebar jewelry, the works!! All you had to do was ask to see it and they would pass it over for inspection.

Checkout

For as busy as the store was, the checkout line moved really quickly. Our cashier was friendly and engaged with us about where we were from, and even shared a personal story about seeing the fall leaves change in our state.

Behind her, I could see a pin trading board! To the right of checkout they had a dog tag making machine and a machine you could use to get a 50th anniversary token.

But the best part of the checkout experience was of course the savings!!!! Let me break it down for you!

I purchased the following items:

  • Harness $39.99 paid $14.99.

  • Denim jacket $69.99 cost $24.99.

  • Castle T shirt cost $39.99 paid $19.99.

  • Blue Dress cost? (guessing $49.99) Paid $19.99.

They were having a promotion that was 30% off all apparel so that saved me another $19.49.

Total cost regular retail $199.96

Total paid $64.40 ($3.93 tax)

Total savings $99.45

Our cashier quickly and efficiently rang up my items and put them in the same kind of bag you would get if you were making a purchase at a Disney Park. New swag in hand, I was just a little less sad about making the journey back home.
