Newport Bay Club-Disneyland Paris Resort

We are Disney people (like it is probably our favorite), so when we chose a trip for our anniversary in 2022, we decided it had to be Paris, and then Disneyland Paris! We partnered with our travel agent Shane from Imagine Travel, and he set us up with a fabulous trip and a stay at the Newport Bay Club!

There are several different Disney resorts to choose from when staying in Paris:

  • Hotel Santa Fe

  • Hotel Cheyenne

  • Sequoia Lodge

  • Hotel New York The Art of Marvel

  • Davey Crockett Ranch

  • Disneyland Hotel

The Newport Bay Club is a 4-star resort settled on the shores of Lake Disney. It is a quick 15-minute walk from both Disney Parks (we did this every morning and went back during the day once and it was so convenient), or a 8-minute free shuttle ride.

View when you step outside the back of the hotel and get your first full view of Lake Disney. You can see Hotel New York The Art of Marvel straight ahead and the balloon ride from Disney Village to the left.

The resort is designed after a classic 1920’s style New England Mansion and has Nautical/Mickey & Minnie themed decor throughout. There are 1,097 rooms, 2 restaurants, a bar, an indoor and outdoor pool, a sauna, a full-service gym, the Bay Boutique, and more.

We did four days in Paris, then took a cab to the Newport Bay Club at around 6:00 am because we wanted to drop off our bags and hit the parks!! Upon arrival, we met with the bell hop who put our luggage through a security conveyor belt (much like the ones at airport security), and then held them for us until we came back later that day when our room was ready. There was no charge to store our luggage, but we made sure to tip the luggage handlers.

You can check in anytime and head to the parks, but rooms are ready starting at 3:00 pm, and check out is at 11:00 am. When we checked out, we were actually leaving to fly home, but many families were leaving their bags with the bell hop so that they could go to the parks for the day. The concierge service was wonderful, and we worked with them the night before our departure, and they organized a taxi to take us to the airport. Again, there was no charge for this service, but we made sure to tip the concierge for their assistance.

We loved being able to walk to and from the parks and especially having the extra magic time and being able to enter the parks before the crowds because we were staying at a Disney Resort.

Some of the resort offerings:

  • Extra Magic Time (early entrance to the parks)

There was a complete remodel of the resort in 2016 and it felt new, clean, and luxurious. We have stayed at a few Disney resorts in Orlando, and it was definitely up to the Disney standard of service, decor, food, and overall experience.

Our travel agent booked everything for us, and our room and park passes were a combination deal. You can add breakfast buffets to each morning for an additional charge, or you can add that when you get there. You can visit each of the two parks as many times as you want if you are a guest at a Disney resort. We got plastic hotel looking keys as our park tickets upon check in.

We got a text message in the middle of the day letting us know that our room was ready, so we took the short walk from the park to get our luggage, check out the room, and explore the common areas a little.

The indoor pool area.

Both of the pool areas stayed busy. The indoor area had windows everywhere and a cool ship in the center where we walked and took photos.

There are two restaurants and a bar at the resort. We only went to the Cape Cod restaurant (for the breakfast buffet), but I have included some information and menus from each of them for you to check out!

The first restaurant is Cape Cod. It is a buffet and has breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Micky pastry bread-it tasted like cake!

We did not have breakfast as part of our package however, we did get an assigned breakfast time for each morning of our stay (I am guessing to help with traffic flow).

Classic Mickey waffles. A must have.

The bar is Captain’s Quarters.

The second restaurant is the Yacht Club. It is table service and is known for the fish specialties.

We highly recommend staying at the Newport Bay Club if going to Disneyland Paris. It was so convenient to the parks, the theming was adorable while still classy, it was clean and comfortable, and the overall experience was very Disney.
